COVID-19 vaccines (AstraZeneca, Pfizer & Moderna Bivalent) including the new XBB 1.5 vaccination are available at Our Medical Gold Coast. First dose, second dose and boosters are available.
Patients must see a GP prior to the vaccination. Patients should visit the centre between 8am and 7:30pm every day.

For non-urgent medical treatment outside of our operating hours, existing patients can call 0491 214 325.
In the event of a major emergency day or night such as chest pain, breathing difficulties or a serious accident, patients should call 000 immediately.
In addition to GP Services, Our Medical Gold Coast also has an on-site dietitians, diabetes educator, psychologists, podiatrist and care plan nurse for chronic disease management. Appointments are required for these allied health services. Visit one of our bulk billing GPs for more information and for a referral.
Our Medical Gold Coast offers bulk billed skin cancer checks on Wednesdays and Thursdays with Dr Boniface Bvumbura. Dr Bvumbura holds a Masters in Skin Cancer with the University of Queensland and is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College Australasia.

Our Medical Gold Coast is bulk billing made exceptional. We offer bulk billing to patients holding a Medicare card, meaning there is no out of pocket cost for most GP services. Fees apply to those patients who do not hold a Medicare card and for some consultation types such as pre-employment medicals and work-related injuries.

Dr Rasheed Lawal has completed a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine and can provide recreational dive medicals at Our Medical Gold Coast.
The cost for a dive medical is $250+GST. Additional fees may apply.
Patients should allow approximately 30 minutes for a dive medical.
Free flu vaccines now available at Our Medical Gold Coast for patients aged 5-64.
No appointment necessary. To receive the free flu vaccine, check-in to see a bulk billing GP at the centre using the Our Medical app.
For patients who don’t have a Medicare card, the vaccine is still free, however, patients will need to pay the standard private fee for the GP consultation.
Government funded free flu vaccines for children aged between 6 months and 5 years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from 6 months, pregnant women, people aged 65 or over, and people with specific medical conditions are also available. If you have a chronic illness, you may also be eligible for the free Government flu vaccination, please discuss this with your GP.
An appointment is not required to see a GP at Our Medical Gold Coast. Simply walk in to see the next available doctor, or the doctor of your choice. No limits are placed on the consultation type or duration. Emergency patients will be given priority.

So that you can plan your next visit, the rosters for our network of GPs are available in the Our Medical app - available on the App Store or the Google Play Store.
The real-time calendar will display the dates, start and finish times that every one of the doctors is working. You can also see which GPs are rostered on a particular day. Available up to two weeks in advance.
Medical Certificates are available from Our Sage from $19.
The best form of general practice is face to face, however for when an in-person consult is not available, Our Sage is the next best alternative. Our Sage provides access to privately-billed telehealth consults (no Medicare rebate) from 7am to 11pm every day of the year.
The Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, located at Our Medical Gold Coast, provides care for urgent, non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
The Urgent Care Clinic is open every day from 8am-10pm. No appointment or referral is needed. Care is free for all Medicare card holders.

If Our Medical Gold Coast is your regular general practice, we encourage you to register for MyMedicare. You can register via your Medicare Online Account or Express Plus Medicare Mobile app.
Note: the centre is listed as "Our Medical Gold Coast" in MyMedicare, not Our Medical Home Gold Coast.
For ease of check-in, new patients to Our Medical should download the Our Medical app from the Apple App Store or Google Play before coming into the centre.

- Sign up as a NEW patient via the app, making sure you have your up-to-date Medicare card and Concession card (if applicable) details to complete the new patient registration.
Once you have signed up as a patient via the Our Medical app, you will be able to check yourself in to see a GP as soon as you have arrived at the centre. Simply select the “GP check in” icon in the app and follow the prompts.
Parents and caregivers should log-in as themselves so they can manage any dependants through the one app. This includes checking children in to see a GP on arrival.
A message will appear on the app, once you have logged in, at times when the centre has reached capacity and can no longer see any more patients. Please check before coming into the centre.
Two hour free parking is available at Our Medical Gold Coast.
Our Medical Gold Coast has a QML Pathology service on-site for added convenience. This pathology service is available Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm and on weekends from 8am to 12pm. Walk-in patients are welcome. Pathology is closed on public holidays.
Most pathology services are bulk billed with a GP referral. Simply walk-in with your referral to see the pathology collector during opening hours. Appointments are only required for Glucose Tolerance Tests, blood pressure monitoring and halter monitoring.

An on-site radiology service provides diagnostic imaging including x-ray and ultrasound services, co-located at Our Medical Gold Coast for your convenience. This radiology service operates from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 12pm on Saturdays. Ultrasounds by appointment available from 7am.
As of 1 November, a new and more effective shingles vaccine is available for those most at risk of having complications from shingles.
This vaccine will be free for:
- People aged 65 years and older
- First Nations people aged 50 years and older
- Immunocompromised people aged 18 years and older with medical conditions including:
- Haemopoietic stem cell transplant
- Solid organ transplant
- Haematological malignancy
- Advanced or untreated HIV.
Vaccine supplies are limited, please check with reception for availability.

Telehealth GP consults are not available at Our Medical Gold Coast. Please attend the medical centre in person for a consult with a GP.
Telehealth is only offered to COVID positive patients. In these cases please call the medical centre. A confirmation of positive test result will be required to request a telehealth consult. Patients will also need to have attended the medical centre in-person within the last 12 months to be eligible.
Patients might also consider using Our Sage telehealth services, which provides access to privately-billed telehealth consults (no Medicare rebate) from 7am to 11pm every day of the year. This service is available to new and existing patients, Medicare and non-Medicare card holders.
Unless you are calling in relation to a medical emergency your doctor will be unable to speak to you whilst consulting with another patient. Our receptionists will pass on a message and the Doctor will return the call when time permits. Requests for results, prescriptions and referrals will not be taken. You will need to attend the medical centre or organise a telehealth consultation to obtain these items. Telephone messages are sent through to individual doctors via the software system. Practice emails are viewed daily and allocated to the appropriate provider electronically.
We do not accept correspondence by fax. All patient health information needs to be exchanged securely via electronic messaging, such as HealthLink (EDI code oxenford), Medical Objects, Fetch, GIG Viewer etc. Please phone us for integration details.
