COVID-19 vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer) are available at Our Medical Penrith via appointment. First dose, second dose and boosters are available, including the new XBB 1.5 vaccination.
Moderna Bivalent and Pfizer Bivalent vaccines are available for booster vaccination.
Appointments are required to receive your COVID-19 vaccine. Our Covid Vaccine Clinic is open every Wednesday from 9am-1pm.

For non-urgent medical treatment outside of our operating hours Monday - Friday 7am-10pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-10pm, existing patients can call 0498 004 670.
In the event of a major emergency day or night such as chest pain, breathing difficulties or a serious accident, patients should call 000 immediately.
In addition to physiotherapy and dental, Our Medical Penrith has dietitians and a care plan nurse. Please ask your GP for a referral to any of these allied health professionals.

Our Medical Penrith is bulk billing made exceptional. We offer bulk billing to patients holding a Medicare card, so there is no out of pocket cost for most GP services. Fees apply to those patients who do not hold a Medicare card and for some consultation types such as pre-employment medicals, work-related injuries, iron infusions, IUD contraception insertions and where no Medicare item number applies.

Free Flu vaccines now available at Our Medical Penrith for Our Medical Membership Program members aged 5-64. Government funded free flu vaccines for children aged between 6 months and 5 years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from 6 months, pregnant women, people aged 65 or over, and people with specific medical conditions are also available. If you have a chronic illness, you may also be eligible for the free Government flu vaccination, please discuss this with your GP.
No appointment necessary. To receive the free flu vaccine, check-in to see a bulk billing GP at the centre using the Our Medical app.
For patients who don’t have a Medicare card, the vaccine is still free, however, patients will need to pay the standard private fee for the GP consultation.
An appointment is not required to see a GP at Our Medical Penrith. Simply walk in to see the next available doctor, or the doctor of your choice. No limits are placed on the consultation type or duration. Emergency patients will be given priority.
So that you can plan your next visit, the rosters for our network of GPs are available in the Our Medical app - available on the App Store or the Google Play Store.
The real-time calendar will display the dates, start and finish times that every one of the doctors is working. You can also see which GPs are rostered on a particular day. Available up to two weeks in advance.
Selected Doctors at our medical centre are available for home visits for regular patients of the centre, when such visits are considered safe, reasonable and necessary and will be determined by the Doctor.
Medical Certificates are available from Our Sage from $19.
The best form of general practice is face to face, however for when an in-person consult is not available, Our Sage is the next best alternative. Our Sage provides access to privately-billed telehealth consults (no Medicare rebate) from 7am to 11pm every day of the year.
The Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, located at Our Medical Penrith, provides care for urgent, non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
The Urgent Care Clinic is open every day from 8am-8pm. No appointment or referral is needed. Care is free for all Medicare card holders.

If Our Medical Penrith is your regular general practice, we encourage you to register for MyMedicare. You can register via your Medicare Online Account or Express Plus Medicare Mobile app.
Note: the centre is listed as "Our Medical Penrith" in MyMedicare, not Our Medical Home Penrith.
For ease of check-in, new patients to Our Medical should download the Our Medical app from the Apple App Store or Google Play before coming into the centre.

- Sign up as a NEW patient via the app, making sure you have your up-to-date Medicare card and Concession card (if applicable) details to complete the new patient registration.
Once you have signed up as a patient via the Our Medical app, you will be able to check yourself in to see a GP as soon as you have arrived at the centre. Simply select the “GP check in” icon in the app and follow the prompts.
Parents and caregivers should log-in as themselves so they can manage any dependants through the one app. This includes checking children in to see a GP on arrival.
A message will appear on the app, once you have logged in, at times when the centre has reached capacity and can no longer see any more patients. Please check before coming into the centre.
International visitors or students with health funds may contact reception to get an estimate on the cost of a GP consultation.
4cyte Pathology operates a pathology service at Our Medical Penrith. This is a convenient option for patients of the general practice as well as walk-in pathology patients. The service currently operates from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and 8.00am to 3.30pm Saturday and Sunday. Pathology is open at weekend hours on public holidays.

The Penrith Respiratory Clinic will permanently close on the 23rd Dec 2022.
Our Medical Penrith has a pharmacy on-site for patient convenience. It is open to 10pm 7 days a week, including public holidays. The pharmacy can help patients with prescriptions, medical devices, vitamins and more.
Our Medical Penrith has an on-site physiotherapist, Vincent Hoang. Physiotherapy is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Private consult fees for Vincent are $105 for an initial consult and $95 for a standard consult. Health fund rebates may apply. Physio consults for patients with an active EPC plan are Medicare bulk billed.

Nepean Radiology offers diagnostic imaging services, located within Our Medical Penrith. The radiology service includes x-rays, dental OPGs, CT scans and ultrasounds and operates 7 days a week: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 1pm to 5pm, and Sunday 9am to 1pm. Your Doctor will guide you when to return to the medical centre to obtain results of any tests or investigations. An automated SMS is also sent to all pathology patients once the results have been received by the Doctor.
You will be required to return to the Centre to discuss these results as part of a consultation. If your urgent attendance is required to discuss a result your Doctor will arrange for you to be contacted.
We may also send reminder notices via mail, SMS or email in relation to preventative healthcare. If you do not wish to receive these communications, please advise our Reception team.
As of 1 November, a new and more effective shingles vaccine is available for those most at risk of having complications from shingles.
This vaccine will be free for:
- People aged 65 years and older
- First Nations people aged 50 years and older
- Immunocompromised people aged 18 years and older with medical conditions including:
- Haemopoietic stem cell transplant
- Solid organ transplant
- Haematological malignancy
- Advanced or untreated HIV.
Vaccine supplies are limited, please check with reception for availability.

Dr Payal Goel is the Geriatrician at Our Medical Penrith. Dr Goel is a highly skilled geriatrician with extensive experience in managing care for patients who are experiencing chronic or complex health conditions. Her areas of interest are comprehensive geriatric assessments, polypharmacy, and medication reviews. Dr Goel is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and in addition to English, speaks Hindi. Please ask your GP for a referral to this specialist.

Telehealth is not currently available at Our Medical Penrith. Please come in to see a GP for a bulk billed consultation. No appointment required.
Telehealth is only offered to COVID positive patients. In these cases please call the medical centre. A confirmation of positive test result will be required to request a telehealth consult. Patients will also need to have attended the medical centre in-person within the last 12 months to be eligible.
Patients might also consider using Our Sage telehealth services, which provides access to privately-billed telehealth consults (no Medicare rebate) from 7am to 11pm every day of the year. This service is available for new and existing, Medicare and non-Medicare patients.
Unless you are calling in relation to a medical emergency, your Doctor will be unable to speak to you whilst consulting with another patient. Our Receptionists will pass on a message and the Doctor will return the call when time permits. Requests for prescriptions and referrals will not be taken over the phone. Results from any tests or investigations will also not be given over the phone.
We do not accept correspondence by fax. All patient health information needs to be exchanged securely via electronic messaging, such as HealthLink (EDI code ourmedhp), Medical Objects, Fetch, GIG Viewer etc. Please phone us for integration details.
